Nach einstimmiger Wahl durch die CDU-Haushaltsmitglieder, wurde Norbert Brackmann heute auch mit 97,3 Prozent der Stimmen der CDU/CSU-Fraktion zum neuen Obmann der Unionsfraktion im Haushaltsausschuss des Deutschen Bundestages gewählt.
„Das große Vertrauen meiner Fraktionskolleginnen und -kollegen freut mich sehr. Es ist ein verantwortungsvolles Amt, das Gestaltungsspielräume eröffnet", sagte Norbert Brackmann gleich nach seiner Wahl in Berlin.
"Als Obmann bin ich zugleich stellvertretender haushaltspolitischer Sprecher der Unionsfraktion. In dieser Aufgabe werde ich künftig noch enger mit dem Vorsitzenden Eckhardt Rehberg die Haushaltspolitik der Fraktion abstimmen und stärker Einfluss auf die Haushaltspolitik dieser Koalition im Ganzen nehmen", erklärt Norbert Brackmann die neue Rolle als Obmann.
„Mit der Wahl zum neuen Obmann ist auch ein Wechsel der Zuständigkeiten verbunden. Nachdem ich im Haushaltsausschuss fünf Jahre lang für den Etat des Bundesfinanzministeriums zuständig war, werde ich mich künftig um den Etat des Bundesministeriums für Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur kümmern. Dieser ist der mit Abstand größte Investitionshaushalt des Bundes. Hier wird die Infrastruktur Deutschlands gestaltet und hier werde ich für Schleswig-Holstein werben”, informiert Brackmann über sein Ziel.
Für Verkehrsinvestitionen stehen dem Bund 2015 rund 10,8 Mrd. Euro zur Verfügung: Für die Bundesfernstraßen sind es alleine 5,06 Mrd. Euro, für die Schiene rund 4,6 Mrd. Euro und für die Wasserstraßen 1 Mrd. Euro. In 2015 wird das Verkehrsministerium auch den Bundesverkehrswegeplan 2015 beschließen, der auch wichtige Investitionen in Schleswig-Holstein tätigen soll. Mit den heute angekündigten Eckpunkten für das von Schäuble vorgeschlagene 10 Mrd. Euro-Investitionspaket, fließen in den Jahren 2016 bis 2018 insgesamt 7 Mrd. Euro zusätzlich an Investitionen in die öffentliche Infrastruktur, in Maßnahmen zur Erhöhung der Energieeffizienz, in die digitale Infrastruktur und die Städtebauförderung.
„Besonders beim Verkehrsausbau kann Schleswig-Holstein bisher nicht von den Bundesinvestitionen profitieren. Jährlich verfallen Bundesmittel für den Straßenbau, die Verkehrsminister Reinhard Meyer nicht in Anspruch nimmt, weil sein Ministerium und der Landesbetrieb für Straßenbau und Verkehr nicht richtig arbeiten. Als Bsp. sei an den Investitionsrahmenplan 2011-2015 erinnert. Hier waren für Schleswig-Holstein 8 Verkehrsprojekte eingestellt, davon sind lediglich 2 in der Umsetzung. Auch in meiner neuen Funktion werde ich das Land stetig dazu treiben, die Bundesmittel in Verkehrsprojekte umzusetzen“, kündigt Brackmann an.
